Ovarian cancer is cancer that forms in tissues of the ovary. Most ovarian cancers are either ovarian epithelial carcinomas (cancer that begins in the cells on the surface of the ovary) or malignant germ cell tumors (cancer that begins in egg cells).  The cause of ovarian cancer is unknown, which is one reason it is so dangerous.  Not too much information is known about ovarian cancer, which is one reason the word needs to be spread to everyone.
